Hellz-Bellz

knocking bitches out the box

Would you have ever pictured a ‘bandana clad’ Minnie Mouse holding a bazooka in her pink dress and heels? Seems like a bittersweet mixture of innocence and rebellion.

The woman responsible for this graphic revolution is Lanie Alabanza, who with a resume of intern at Alphanumeric, Graphic Designer of Triple 5 Soul, and Art Director of Rocawear, began Hellz-Bellz in 2005.

Hellz-Bellz was created as a “tribute to the non-conforming female youth of today.” After all how long can women’s brands continue with the stereotypical designs of hearts and flowers? With bold graphics of nude females, AK 47’s, indecent gestures, and statements like ‘knocking bitches out the box,’ Hellz is giving women’s brands a run for their money.

Further breaking the ground in women’s street wear, Hellz created the first Letterman jacket in a line for women. While other brands try and ‘fill the needs” of the customer, Hellz-Bellz continues creating pieces never before seen in the street wear market. With a full line of T’s, sweaters, denim, leggings, accessories, and jackets, females finally have variety as a consumer.

So what can we possibly expect next from Lanie who has already collaborated with INSA, 5 & Dime Boutique, Grotesk, Missbehave Magazine, and The Collabros?

“Expect to see growth in the brand, whether it is within the collection or through different mediums outside of fashion and design. As I get older, I expect the line to grow with me, so I envision Hellz to slowly progress into more of a mature line,” as told to Fortmatmag.com.

Till then the women of Hellz can continue being sassy rebels. Follow the latest news from Hellz-Bellz by visiting their official website, myspace page and blog.
